MOVEMENT MEDICINE

The importance of Positive Interventions in Self-Care and Palliative Care

TSP’s Movement Medicine is the practice of using transformative self-care movement practice as a proactive health intervention to combat the stresses of modern life. Today’s world is fast-paced, highly sedentary, and digitally overwhelming, making intentional movement essential for survival, not just fitness. TSP’s TAKE A MINUTE® Resiliency & Self Care program focuses on marginalized and vulnerable communities globally.

Zuleikha created The Storydancer Project (TSP) in 2001 to address the lack of wellness education and resources locally and internationally and to bring rejuvenation and self-care skills to girls, women, children, families and communities. TSP was incorporated as a non-profit in 2006. Zuleikha has been developing her unique TAKE A MINUTE® Resiliency & Self Care movement program for the past two decades, and it has become a vital component of all TSP programs.

Healing and self-care do not need to be isolated individual burdens. TSP is working from the understanding that building collective resilience through holistic self-care in community is a powerful agent of change.
